MARXOSO was the brainchild of a sports fan in general, though he leans more towards MTB (and cycling in general), snowboarding, football, athletics, orienteering … let’s be honest - just about anything that has that tell-tale aroma of sweat!

MARXOSO is a Spanish label that the author has stuck on himself, a play on words from the Spanish “marchoso” (fun-loving), the fact that many fun-runs and bike races in Spain are called “marchas” (races) and also because the author tries to take part in as many events as his duties allow. So, there’s the history of the name.

MARXOSO was born from an idea at the author’s home cycling club ( Unión Ciclista Algecireña in Algeciras, Spain - http://www.ucalgeciras.com ) and their need to manage the cycling events they organise more efficiently.
